Major Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty rockets attacked energy facilities, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under heavy assaults overnight. A young boy was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes succeed periods of air raids in the territory, parts of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were anticipating further attacks.
